NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — The national unemployment rate has fallen from its recession highs, but Americans who have been out of work for six months or more are still having trouble finding work.
The numbers are staggering. The ranks of the long-term unemployed swelled last month from 5.1 million to 5.4 million, and those individuals now account for 42.8% of the unemployed.

A second recession? We haven’t gotten out of this one yet!. According to economic experts surveyed by CNN, signs are pointing to another recession in a weakening economy.
Experts worry that the risk of falling into another recession has increased, according to a CNNMoney economic survey.
To be sure, economists still place long odds on that worst case scenario. But the odds are a lot less long than they were just a little while ago.
