Park Place Corp. needs to sell its Denver mattress factory quickly or the plant will be closed and its 50 workers laid off. The company disclosed the factory’s predicament in a letter to the state Department of Labor & Industry earlier this month. Park Place no longer needs the 412 Oak St. plant because of its contract with a new customer to serve a new territory. That new customer and territory is being served from its Greenville, S.C., headquarters.
