A self-proclaimed “homeless” man has been mucking about northern Lancaster County (PA) for quite sometime now. He pushes a bicycle around with several trailer attachments of his worldly possessions. A large hand written sign proclaims that he is homeless artist with diabetes and bad feet. See the photo above. However, he’s not so homeless as he has been living in the same motel room in Ephrata for several weeks now. Also, on several occassions, I have observed him with some kind of portable music player and cell phone, among other modern necessities. His feet can’t be that bad because he’s quite mobile; I’ve seen him pushing his contraption six or seven miles south of his residence. But, check out the next picture.

Our homeless dude isn’t doing so bad. He’s able to buy a case of Miller High Life beer (circled in red) and a bag ice. This picture was taken two Fridays ago. The following Friday, he was spotted buying another case, but without the ice. Where’s this guy getting his money? From selling his shitty paintings? Or is it from the people I’ve often observed stopping by giving him some monetary or material charity? I don’t know. I do know that I would love to buy a case of beer every Friday, too.
